The Earle Cobb Dance Studio is approaching an incredible milestone; we are celebrating our 95thAnniversary!  We are the oldest continuously running family-owned dance studio in the United States!  

The reunion/recital weekend will be bringing together past and present dancers and teachers who have contributed to the magic of the studio over the years.  It is time to reconnect with dance friends, ‘tap’ into memories and celebrate the remarkable journey that made us who we are today.  Mark your calendar, dust off those dancing shoes and get ready for the fun.

This way I can plan the reunion recital dance ahead of time and make a video of the choreography.  You can learn it at home before you come or if you live in town and prefer, I will be having a few rehearsals at the studio before the weekend of the show.  We also need to order T shirts and catering. We have lots of fun events that you can attend even if you are not going to dance with us on stage.

June 7th

Earle Cobb Dance Studio - 4278 Lockhill Selma Rd. San Antonio, TX 78249. 

5:30pm-7:00pm          Rehearsal to put the dance all together at Earle Cobb Dance Studio

7-8:30pm                    Welcome reception at Earle Cobb Dance Studio

 

June 8th

11:00am          Extra rehearsal at Earle Cobb for those who want a little extra practice.

2:30-3:00pm   Blocking and dance rehearsal on stage for the reunion dance before the full recital dress rehearsal.  We will block the number on stage and confirm spacing.

3:30-6:15pm  Full show dress rehearsal. The reunion dance is later in the show so please shop at our silent auction in the lobby, watch the rehearsal or grab a bite to eat.  

4:30pm            Run bows at intermission on stage. 

 

June 9th

2:30pm            On stage rehearsal between shows

3:30pm            SHOWTIME

6:30pm(ish)     After show 95th Anniversary reception at La Hacienda de Los Barrios Mexican Restaurant

THE DANCE:

Jazz 1 (includes jazz squares, lindy, pivots, step ball change)

Tap 1 (includes flaps, shuffles, time steps, maxi fords, shuffle ball change shuffle hop step)

Jazz 2 (includes double pirouette, kicks, calypso)

Tap2 (timesteps, paddle and roll, nifty, buffalo, a tap turn or two)

**Please let us know which section you might want to do.  

Costume: We will wear the 95th Anniversary T shirt with either black pants or leggings. We can help you borrow shoes if needed. Give us your T shirt size on the RSVP form.

Learn the dance: I will send a video link in April with the choreography broken down and filmed from behind. This will be sent out in the first week or two of April. 

In July, I will email a video link of the recital video for you to enjoy or share with family!

 

WELCOME RECEPTION- June 7th 7pm-8:30

Earle Cobb Dance Studio - Enjoy some appetizers, desserts, wine, beer and soda.  Visit with friends old and new!  All alumni are welcome even if you aren’t doing the dance. Please RSVP.

95TH ANNIVERSARY RECEPTION- for the alumni and their families, current studio families!

Chicken and Beef Fajita Buffet, cash bar

All alumni are welcome even if you aren’t doing the dance.

Tickets: $35 adults, kids under 6 are free
